Launched!
For a company that spends far more cycles developing software than marketing itself, the past few weeks have felt a little surreal. But since we got our first product release out the door and into customers' hands, and Thomvest stepped up to lead the funding for our next stage of growth, it was time to go public about the progress we'd made so far. And we're really glad that we did.
As we prepared for our launch announcement, we met some exceptional people and had some great help. And we think it's right to point out some highlights and say thanks. Our new friends at TECHmarket deserve mention, not just for being so hard working, but also for being so smart, honest and easy to work with. If you've worked with public relations firms, you know what we mean. Susan and her team deserve our thanks and praise.
We've met — and continue to meet — a good number of very perceptive analysts. There really are too many to mention without appearing to play favorites, but we've had very stimulating conversations with a number of individuals. You know who you are, and we look forward to picking up the conversation where we left off...
The press coverage of our announcement was good, considering that we're a relatively small company announcing its first round of funding. A great number of technology publications carried our story with thorough, accurate and informative writing. Andy Dornan's piece in Information Week is a good example, and there were many other write-ups at that level of quality. Overall, every item that we saw published looked good and informative, and we appreciate the time and effort of the writers.
Lastly, there is a group of people that deserve our thanks, because they went out of their way for us, without gaining anything for themselves. They're our customers and partners who agreed to speak on our behalf. You know some of them, but not all. Many of our best customers and partners wanted to help us out and participate in our launch announcement, but for one reason or another they couldn't. That's how things go sometimes. The point is, everyone we asked for help did their best to try to help. Regardless of whether you saw their names in our release, we value our relationships with every one of our customers and industry partners. Yesterday's announcement was just the first step.
The future is looking very bright today. Thanks again to everyone who helped us in our launch.
