The Performance Solution for Microsoft Hyper-V

FlashSoft for Hyper-V provides a simple, economical software solution to increase both performance and VM density for the Microsoft Hyper-V platform. Like FlashSoft SE for Windows, FlashSoft for Hyper-V is software that you install within the host Windows operating system.

When you install a flash PCIe card or SSD in the server, the FlashSoft software automatically configures the solid-state hardware as a cache in the server to optimize storage IO. The result is increased performance of applications and increased VM capacity on the Hyper-V server.

Simple

FlashSoft for Hyper-V is installed once, in the host Windows Server operating system. No software installation is required within the virtual machines, and the guest VMs can run any operating system supported by Hyper-V. No modifications are required to the underlying storage.

Economical

By implementing a cache with the flash device of your choice directly in the server, you can precisely target your resources on your performance needs. Unlike a costly storage acceleration appliance in the SAN, the FlashSoft-based cache delivers the performance and scalability you want exactly where you need it.

Powerful

FlashSoft for Hyper-V can deliver a 3x to 5x performance increase to applications running on Hyper-V virtual machines. In addition, by removing storage IO as a constraint, it enables administrators to take full advantage of their server's CPU and memory, to double or even triple the number of virtual machines running on a single Hyper-V host.

Advanced

FlashSoft for Hyper-V is available today for standalone servers. In Q1 2012, FlashSoft for Hyper-V will be updated to leverage Cluster Shared Volumes (CSV) to enable a distributed cache specifically for clustered Hyper-V servers. This next-generation solution will support all Hyper-V cluster features, including Live Migration, System Center Virtual Machine Manager (SCVMM), Quick Migration and DPM.
